Gearbox repair

Besides the design and the production of new gearbox solutions the consolidated knowledge in transmissions allows HUEBER to repair, modify and overhaul existing gearboxes.

It is irrelevant which original manufacturer has built the gearbox, which type of gearbox is concerned, when the gearbox was manufactured or where the gearbox is located.

Before our type-independent and multivendor-capable repair a thorough damage analysis precedes, which can take place either at the customer’s location or at HUEBER.


 Experienced consulting engineers are ready for their expertise and damage analysis on the broken gearbox: the outside condition of the gearbox is examined and then opened professionally to check and document the possible damages to bearings, toothing, etc. to provide the customer with a project schedule and statement of costs.

After consulting the customer all in-plant operational sequences are started, which lead from engineering to procurement up to the production in order to repair the gearbox as fast as possible to minimize downtimes.

The necessary assembly of spare parts can take place again at the customer’s location or at HUEBER.

After finishing the repair a test run on the HUEBER test stand or within the customer’s installation takes place in order to ensure the proper operation of the gearbox.

The customer has the advantage to have with HUEBER an entire gear construction company with all resources to accomplish cost-saving repairs for the customer.
