2008.05.31 Krupke Holding invests in a majority share of Hueber Getriebebau GmbH, Kirn
The proprietor-managed investment and consulting company Krupke Holding GmbH, Billerbeck, invested in a majority share of the well-established, family-owned company Hueber Getriebebau GmbH, Kirn.
The company which was founded in 1909 and taken over by the Hueber family in 1984 is specialised in production of special gearboxes for industrial applications. Furthermore the company is market leader for gearboxes for engine test beds for formula 1.
Together with the former proprietor and managing director, Bernhard Hueber, Krupke Holding would like to further increase the growth of Hueber Getriebebau GmbH and open up additional possibilities for the new subsidiary. It will hold it permanently in its portfolio, further invest into the Kirn location and establish additional jobs to the totally 108 ones already existing there, which are to be created especially in the extension of the repair business – like for example in the wind energy industry.

Hueber is a worldwide supplier of special gearboxes for industrial applications in an international field. The company offers the complete chain of economic value from development and design to production and documentation to sale of the offered gearbox solutions. These are mainly applied in the iron and steel industry, test bed technology, oil and mining industry, manufacturing of pumps and turbines as well as for manufacturing of conveyor cranes. Furthermore Hueber offers repair and maintenance of all gearboxes for industrial applications, independent from the original gearbox manufacturer. With its 108 employees the company reached a turnover of about 16 million € in 2007.
